Feb. 15, 2008

Took Gracie and Addison swimming today. Addison loved the pool. She was splashing around
like crazy. But the last two times when I put her in the bathtub she freaks out and screams. Maybe the water is too hot or something. I tried to get Gracie to do the swim test
in the big pool but she was afraid to get in. It is a deeper and colder pool. Much scarier
then the warm 25 yd pool. I finally got her to dunk in and she freaked out. We will
have to take her swimming in there for a little bit to get her used to that pool. Not that
she needs to pass the swim test since we won't be here this summer. Rick got an official
job offer yesturday, so I guess it is finalized and we are moving to Colorado. I want
Gracie to finish school here, plus we still have to sell the house so I won't be going right
away.
Addison has been crawling for a little over a week now. Very exciting. She is getting better
at it everyday. She will still crawl for a little and then fall on her stomach. Her arms kind
of collape. She still does not say moma. What is up with that! She says Dada and Hi. She says
hi to people when we are out, it is really really cute. It also sounds like she says grrrr which is
Grace but not fully sure.
Going to work our butts off getting packed, the realtor is coming on Monday. Oh boy...

Field Trip to Birkdale .. Feb.12,2008

Today we went on a field trip with Gracie's school. I woke Gracie up in the morning and told
her about the trip. Immediatly she wanted to pack a suitcase and get her passport.
Nothing is simple anymore...I had to explain that we were going to come back home and we
did not need a suitcase. Sometimes I wonder why I am late for school!
It was fun though. We started off at Barnes and Noble where the staff read a story, mommies got starbucks and kiddies did a craft. Gracie made a face of Camryn. She said "this is Camryn sad." I didn't listen to the story, but I bet it had something to do with the craft that Gracie made.
Next we went to the pottery store and the kids painted a heart made of plaster. I am just wondering where I should hang this masterpiece! But the kids put their thumb prints on it so
that means I can't throw it out.... Next to the pet store. Gracie was asking all morning if we could buy a pet. I told her we could when we got to the pet store. Lucky for me they did not sell pets. Shucks...She kept asking though, so I told her to ask the lady how much she wanted for her dog. I am happy to report that we did not leave with any new animals. Our last stop was at Bricks for pizza. I forgot how good that is. Each mom got their own pizza and salad for only 4 bucks! What a deal. Gracie at pizza too, I think she ordered pepperoni. Not exactly sure because, most of the moms ate away from their kiddies. I was outside on the patio with everyone at first and felt a little closed in. Fun Fun Fun! That was our trip to Birkdale...

Macaroni and Cheese, Febuary 11, 2008

Gracie is crying for macaroni and cheese because one of her friend's
mom said that they were having it for dinner. I can never please her.
We went to the park, she had some friends over and we made brownies,
and then the day ends with her crying for macaroni and cheese. Like I am
the worst mom ever! I hope this is just an age related event and it will
all be over when she turns 5!
I have the most exciting blog ever!

Getting the House Ready...Sunday, Febuary 10, 2008

Ok, so we are trying to get the house ready to go on the market. It feels
like I will never be done. I have so much to do! This weekend, I cleaned out
a bunch of closets which is hard for me to do because I have a hard time
letting go of the dummest (is that a word?) things. I still have to clean
out Gracie's closet, my closet and the garage. Then I will have to clean
all the bathrooms and vacuum and steam the carpets. Maybe move some
pictures around and I think I will be done. Oh wait, we have to work on
the outside...Bummer because I hate outside anything work!
Gracie had a good weekend. Friday night, the Woods came over and
then Saturday, she went to The Little Gym and had Mandi and Laney
sleep over. She just loves playing with her little friends. Thank goodness,
she has Abby when/if we move to Colorado. I still don't feel like it is a go,
but I guess we shall see. Maybe I am just in denial.
Todd came over today and installed more Ram on my computer. It is working
so fast right now. It is such a difference!
I want to go to the gym tomorrow, but I still have so much to do around here that
I don't know if I will be able to. I HAVE to get this house finished!

Freedom...Friday Feb. 8th 2008

So, on Wedesday I quit work. I enjoy photography but I am not cut out for the sales
part. I hate to sell. It is not me. I do miss the people that I worked with and will
miss working with the camera. Of course I can still do it on my on time.
I felt so free driving home that day. I have to get back into my old routine of going
to the gym in the morning. I really feel out of shape...
I also feel like I have a lot to do around the house. I haven't been able to keep
it clean the way I like while I was at work. I also have to clean out all the closets and
get ready to put the house on the market. That should be fun. Real Estate is in the
dumps right now. I can't believe we are going back to Colorado.
On a different note. Addison started crawling on Tuesday. Finally. She isn't
really mobile yet, but she can get a few crawls in. She rolls more for her transportation.
She still does not say moma - only dada :( She turned 10 months yesturday. I can't believe
how fast time goes by.

Feb. 4, 2008... Hanna Montana

Today, Gracie and I went to see the Hanna Montana movie at Northlake mall with
Cheryl, Kristen, Mandi and Sophia. It was actually more fun then I thought it would be.
Of course we had to buy our tickets about a week in advance and wait in a line to make sure
that we could have seats together, but it was all worth it. I picked up the girls from school
and we waited a little over an hour at the theatre - I felt like a groupie! Gracie and Mandi
were dancing during the show and it was very cute. This was Gracie's first 3D movie and she did try to grab out at something at one point. Cheryl and I brought enough treats to last us for a drive to Florida! We ate so much of the junk that we did not make dinner after the show. It was ok, Cheryl and I still had some room for a little wine afterwards. There is always room for that! Addison did not make the show. She has a little cold, although I am sure that is not why she did not come. She was at home with daddy fussing. She pretty much fussed all day, especially during her therapy time this morning with Mandy. We told Mandy she could pack up her toys and go because Addy was not herself. I have to go to work tomorrow, uugg, not looking forward to it.....Hopefully I will be able to get my butt out of bed and get a workout in before heading off to work.
